What people say. Recommended as an example of compiler performance and Jonathan Blow's efforts to make compilation extremely fast.

On “After a 1.5+ year of typescript development, I understand that my initial skepticism moving from js to ts is legit.”

I guarantee you, if the typescript team put an effort on stopping putting more features on the compiler, and start rewriting the compiler to rust or something esbuild and swc would loose much of their utility. They exist because the ts compiler performance is extremely slow, yet people here still believe js is fast. And they are not even that fast! See this for reference: link to this video Blow made a language that can compile 2 million lines of code / second, and it's doing far more complicated things than what ts does. Why can't the team of one of the most loved programming languages in the world is a mistery I yet cannot understand.
