Steve Sanderson demonstrates an early prototype of Blazor United, combining server-side and client-side rendering models for .NET 8.

A quick look at some of the experiments we're considering for Blazor in .NET 8

On “Can I build single-page apps with core, like react pages without refreshing the site?”

Also look into the next version of Blazor which was once being called Blazor United, but is now just being called the next version of Blazor in .NET 8, which is coming soon (November 2023). What is Blazor United, or what is new, you ask? Well, it seems like the web application hipsters have decided there *is* a use case for running code on the web server after all!? This is nothing Earth-shattering for the web developers who started on the server 20+ years ago, but I guess the saying goes: "Learn your history, or be doomed to repeat it"... If you're familiar with Next.js in the React ecosystem, then Blazor United, or the next version of Blazor in .NET 8 will "introduce" server-rendering…

On “ASP.NET Community Standup - Blazor United in .NET 8”

If you want to save yourself some time, you can just watch the 13 minute intro to Blazor United by Steven Sanderson because there isn't a lot of new information in this ASP.NET standup meeting, except for the bit about hydration at 58m 30s.

On “This comment from Chris Sainty re: Blazor vs MVC vs Razor Pages”

Steve Sanderson does a nice job explaining it in the prototype in this video. Essentially, the web server would only need to use a circuit the first time the client access the web app and then, if the mode is so enabled, the app is rendered client-side in future connections, thereby avoiding the need for a circuit/SignalR connection.

>ve seen it! Looks absolutely wonderful. The only thing I’d really want though is with the auto render mode for server to switch and hydrate to wasm when wasm has been downloaded. > >I find blazor server annoying to use as a use He talks about that at around 9min in: [video Essentially if you set the rendering mode to auto it will use server side the first time the user goes to the page but it will download the wasm assemblies in the background so that the next time they go to the page they get the wasm version.
