Michael Sambol explains the step-by-step execution of the merge sort algorithm.

Step by step instructions showing how to run merge sort. Code: github.com/msambol/dsa/blob/master/sort/merge_sort.py (different than video, I added this retroactively) Sources: 1. On “What did you enjoy most about the comp sci program at your school.”

Junior in Computer Science here I really enjoyed a class called Data Structures. Basically, the class goes over in-depth arrays and linked lists in programming, alongside many sorting algorithms, plus useful information when it comes to organizing any sort of data efficiently. The class overall feels very useful compared to a few other comp sci courses. Check these out: Merge Sort Algorithm: [video Heap Sort Algorithm: [video The professor was also exceptionally good, which makes a huge difference in all comp sci classes. My university requires we take up to Calculus II, which may be different for you, but Calc 2 is very challenging but do-able. Good luck!
