Christian Johansen demonstrates Dataspex, a Clojure and ClojureScript library for inspecting and browsing application data in browser devtools.

Dataspex is a Clojure library that allows you to inspect, browse and copy data from your Clojure and ClojureScript apps in a dedicated devtools panel in the browser. In this video I take you through a quick tour of all its features. You'll find Dataspex at github.com/cjohansen/dataspex Browser extensions will soon be available on the official extension repositories, in the meantime you can build them from source, instructions are on Github. #webdevelopment #clojure #uidevelopment First look at inspection and navigation Copying data Inspecting atoms The audit tab Looking at diffs Multiple panels Hiccup and the source view Inspecting Datascript databases Movies in Datascript and the table view Navigating Datascript entities Custom audit log meta data Inspecting insts JSON Web Tokens Inspecting backend state Atom meta data for the audit log Backend state time travel Inspecting Datomic databases Bringing it all together Taps Tapping Datomic databases Closing thoughts

Announcing Dataspex: Browse Clojure data from the comforts of your own devtools I'm excited to announce Dataspex \- a Clojure and ClojureScript data browser that lives in your browser's devtools. It can browse and navigate arbitrary data structures (including Datascript and Datomic databases!), keep an audit log, do time travel, and more, and takes literally two lines of code to set up.
