Going through Traversy's Node Auth video - stuck
Going through this video. I have done some slight modifications of my own. My registration code is not working properly. Particularly, it should reject an already existing user, but it's not doing that. It keeps registering the same email repeatedly. Here's the code extract for that part. What's wrong? I'm obviously a noob.
Edit: I fixed the problem by doing this. However, when the user is redirected to the login page, the error is not passed along to that page, so the user wouldn't know why they were redirected. How can I pass the error to the login page using redirect? Doing "res.redirect('/auth/login', { errors });" didn't work, and cra…
