Tadas Petra discusses the lack of updates for the GetX package and its future in the Flutter ecosystem.

The Flutter package GetX has not had any official updates in 10 months. I wonder if this is the end? On “what makes GetX not preferable?”

I dislike GetX because: 1. it's poorly maintained (link) 2. the maintainer is a liar (link) 3. apps built with GetX are hard to test 4. GetX documentation is bad and almost non-existing 5. GetX is especially bad for beginners 'cause prevents from learning flutter's basics 6. it's hard to integrate GetX with other packages (eg. navigation, state management, dependency injection etc)
