Volodymyr Kozieiev explains how to use the Clojure CLI, write deps.edn files, and manage dependencies with tools.deps.

In this Clojure tutorial, we will learn how to use Clojure CLI, write deps.edn files, create aliases and will discuss the tools.deps library that works under the hood. 🇺🇦 Help Ukraine: send.monobank.ua/jar/7jhDduufL7 ⏰ Timecodes ⏰ Steps to run Clojure app on JVM Tools Clojure gives us: Clojure CLI, deps.edn and tools.deps When and where this video was recorded Difference between clj and clojure commands “-M” option of CLI and clojure.main namespace5:07 running namespace with “clj -M” running script with “clj -M” running functions using “-X” option of CLI running clojure tools using “-T” option of CLI managing tools with “clj -Ttools” installing new tool with “clj -Ttools install” deps.edn file :paths key of deps.edn to list directories of the project :deps key of deps.edn to list project dependencies adding the dependency from maven to deps.edn adding the dependency from git to deps.edn :aliases key of deps.edn creating alias to run with “clj -M” (:main-opts key) creating alias to run with “clj -X” (:exec-args, :exec-fn keys) :extra-paths and :extra-deps keys of aliases different deps.edn configuration files in your system tools.deps library resolve-deps function of tools.deps library and dependencies-related aliases keys make-classpath-map function of tools.deps library and classpath-related aliases keys “clj -Spath” to figure out the result classpath meet tools.build library in the next video Thanks! 🐈 Leave the comment if you noticed at what time red cat (his name is Chuck) appeared on the screen 😉 🔗 My site: kozieiev.com/ 🔗 Clojure main namespace official doc: clojure.org/reference/repl_and_main#_clojure_main_help 🔗 Deps and CLI official doc: clojure.org/reference/deps_and_cli

On “How do I install module?”

i don't really use lein much but i believe you just add `me.raynes/conch "0.8.0"` to the deps list in your project.clj file then run lein deps. if you're using deps.edn, i found this video to be super helpful when learning deps.edn link to this video and there's also the official guide. https://clojure.org/guides/deps_and_cli
