Hey Everyone, we’ve spent a couple of videos getting audio into the ESP32. We're going to using the MAX98357A breakout board from Adafruit. This is a class D amplifier with an I2S interface which is great because it means our audio signal stays digital all the way up to the speaker output. You'll need a speaker to use the board with at least a 4ohm impedance and you can get up to 3W output. …tail). I'm currently in prototype phase. I plan to use a ESP32-WROOM-32E device and have a dev kit for it. I am able to play a .wav file, using I2S interface and an amplifier that takes in I2S and outputs an analog audio signal to a speaker. I am using platformIO for my development IDE. (Basically hacked the project from this video to my needs: [video The next piece of the puzzle I am trying to figure out is how I can have my iPhone talk to the ESP32 device to command it to play the .wav file that lives on the ESP32 device. Does anyone know a good starting point for learning how to talk between an iphone and a ESP32 device? Preferably using platformIO if possible? Any help is appreciate…
