Krzysztof Romanowski explains the organization behind Scala's development and how community members can contribute to its ecosystem.
Krzysztof Romanowski has been using Scala since 2011, and since 2019, a significant part of his role (and the main reason he chose it) has been to grow Scala and its community. In this talk, he will explain the inner workings of the organisation responsible for releasing, maintaining, and developing Scala and the core parts of its ecosystem. He will cover what these parts are, the challenges faced by the "team of teams," and what the future holds. Later, Krzysztof will focus on the various ways to support the ecosystem. Help can take many forms, and he will aim to show that there is an approach that suits everyone. As build tools are his pet peeve, expect to hear about Scala CLI and Bazel as well! scalar-conf.com/ Scalar Conference 2025 powered by SoftwareMill #scalarconfu/smlaccountin r/scala • Recommends
