How to configure and implement GPIO for buttons, LEDs, and Pmods using EMIO on a Zynq-7000 ZedBoard.

In this tutorial, ZedBoard is used to implement GPIO via EMIO. Here, the GPIOs i.e., 5 buttons, 8 LEDs, 8 Slide Swithces, and Pmods which are accessible in PS via PL of ZedBoard are used to implement the EMIO concept. For vivado TCL files:github.com/aslaamshaafi/Zynq_7000_vivado/tree/GPIO_EMIO For SDK c files:github.com/aslaamshaafi/Zynq_7000_SDK/tree/GPIO_EMIO For more information visit: fpgawork.com/

What people say. Recommended for learning how to configure the programmable logic and routing EMIO pins on Zynq boards.

Nope, you have to configure PL. This video explains how to do it.

…'t know if I'm just dumb or not but after hours of searching I can't figure out how to translate a Zynq Pin number (ex:' IO\_L23N\_T3\_35 ') to an actual EMIO Pin Number (ex: GPIO\_0\_0\_tri\_io\12\). Basically I'm trying to use the LEDs in the ARTY Z7 board which are mapped in the EMIO banks not the MIO banks. So I'm following this tutorial ([video and his constraint file actually has the proper port names. Example of his (not exact but you get the jist): set\_property -dict { PACKAGE\_PIN M15 IOSTANDARD LVCMOS33 } \get\_ports { GPIO\_0\_0\_tri\_io\[12\ }\]; whereas the one digilent provides me: set\_property -dict { PACKAGE\_PIN L14 IOSTANDARD LVCMOS33 } \[get\_ports { le…
