Techno Tim shows how to automate the deployment of a high-availability K3s cluster using Ansible, kube-vip, and MetalLB.

Setting up kubernetes is hard. That's why we made it easy. Today we'll set up a High Availability K3s cluster using etcd, MetalLB, kube-vip, and Ansible. We'll automate the entire process giving you an easy, repeatable way to create a k3s cluster that you can run at home in a few minutes. This is a great way to set up Kubernetes in your HomeLab. I'd suggest using K3s , kubevip, and MetalLB. This ansible playbook is easy to configure , and is what I used to setup my own clusters: https://github.com/techno-tim/k3s-ansible Video: [video Documentation: https://technotim.live/posts/k3s-etcd-ansible/

There are a bunch of flags you can provide at installation that let you adjust the timeouts. That said, I had the same problem and moved to a central database version and that made everything work. Follow this for more explanation link to this video
