You’re ready to ditch Objective-C…
…and you’ve struggled to find any learning material in Swift that gets straight to the point. You know that learning the syntax and features is the first step – but you really don’t need to hear (again) that Strings don’t start with @ signs. You just need to know how to use Swift with Cocoa Touch so you can build a real app. And trying to dissect the Swift repos on GitHub is exhausting – and you don’t seem to be learning anything…
Maybe you hate Objective-C, and you’re done with the square brackets, @ signs, and the f****** block syntax. It’s painful, old, arcane, and full of cruft. Or maybe you love Objective-C and you’re just ready to learn the future of iOS development. At any rate, you’re ready to learn Swift – but you feel like you don’t have the time.
What if you knew enough Swift to dive in and build a real-world app in it?
You’d be confident in your future career and freelance prospects – knowing you have the skills employers will want for years to come.
You don’t need to spend hours poring through books, blog posts, and videos. You just need to attend the Beginning Swift workshop.
Get on the path to excellence with the Beginning Swift workshop
The Beginning Swift workshop get you up to speed on the basics of Swift so you’re ready to write iOS apps in Swift. In fact, you’ll write your first Swift app in the workshop. You’ll learn about:
- building view controllers and table views
- defining functions that accept closures as parameters
- working with optionals
- type inference & static typing
- constants and variables
- classes, instance variables, and functions

Good JSON-App Store Tutorial (with MVVM)
Hey all, just wanted to share a tutorial that I found to be very clear in comparison with others of this type. It also incorporates the MVVM style, which IMO makes your code more concise and easy to understand. It's a youtube video:
