On “Feeling like I'm in over my head”

Even though max explains the OOP concepts briefly, I think it's best if you go for a dart crash course which has the OOP concepts in details. And none other than Flutterly's Dart Crash Course would prepare you real good for flutter. So for now forget flutter focus on dart, take your time finish the course I linked above. Once you're comfortable with the concepts come back to max's course and it'll be much clearer

On “Being a Mobile app Developer”

I'm not a fan of any bootcamps. You're better off learning on your own with some free or Udemy tutorials. The main thing is to not ignore the fundamentals. You need to learn to make UI's using Flutter, but don't ignore the Dart language, software architecture, or state management. For learning Dart, this is the best video I've seen for that. [video In terms of software architecture, the important thing is to pull your business logic out of your Flutter widgets. There are many ways to architecture your app, but I like MVC-S(Models-Views-Controllers and Services). It seems to be the simplest way to go for Flutter apps that also scales to any size project. I based my approach on this…

On “flutter courses are outdated”

I’d recommend learning Dart first, then tackle Flutter. Write code as you are learning, any small project of interest will work. I found these resources to be very useful. Dart Complete Course (8 hours, free) link to this video Complete Dart Guide (10 hours, small cost, is largely up to date) https://codewithandrea.com/courses/complete-dart-guide/ As for Flutter, I did not work through any beginner course (for better or worse…), but tackled a personal project first, and am now going through the intermediate Complete Flyer Course bundle to learn more advanced stuff: https://codewithandrea.com/courses/ Andrea does excellent work and keeps things updated. Have fun!

On “I’m glad I chose Flutter.”

I would recomend starting from here: A 2 hours programming logic crash course: link to this video Then a small course about OOP: link to this video Then 8 hours of Dart language introduction: [video When you're done with those, you will be able to grasp a little bit of Flutter

On “Flutter”

You don't have to be a Dart language expert to get started with Flutter, but you do need to know the basics. Variables, flow control, classes, and async-await at a minimum. I'd suggest you go through this free video course on Dart. link to this video

On “How to learn flutter development”

I've been using YouTube and Udemy to do this. You want a solid understanding of Dart before learning Flutter. This will get you started. Dart Documentation: https://dart.dev/ Flutter Documentation : https://docs.flutter.dev/ Youtube: Dart Tutorials: [video [video [video Flutter tutorials: [video [video [video link to this video Udemy: https://www.udemy.com/course/complete-dart-guide/ https://www.udemy.com/course/learn-flutter-dart-to-build-ios-android-apps/ https://www.udemy.com/course/flutter-bootcamp-with-dart/ (This one is little out of date, but I still found it useful)

On “How much money do you make from your Flutter App?”

Clueless Clothing Google play store download 1. I’ve made $52.95 after what Apple/Google take. It took me roughly 3 months but I’ve got two very small kids (5 months old and 3 years old) so of actual dev time… probably 3 weeks total. 2. Only have two people converted to my paid version so far. 1 played on Google Play for an entire year. The other is a monthly user on Apple. 3. I get about equal number of downloads across both platforms. I’ve had about 100 people download the app since launching 2 weeks ago. 4. I started with very small targeted Reddit ads but this was expensive so I’ve switched to using my personal social media. This has worked fantastically for my app. I’ve had great…

On “Is Udemy or freeCodeCamp's course on flutter better?”

I would like to mention how I learnt flutter. It might be helpful for you or others. Learning flutter can be divided into three parts 1) Knowing the underneath language of flutter which is dart. You can follow the link to learn about dart [video or [video For basic to intermediate apps it is not necessary to know advanced dart concept 2) Next comes how to develop UI using flutter. You will find multiple 1-2 hour project based UI tutorial regarding to know more about UIs in flutter. Make sure for the initial tutorial that you watch the tutorials having detailed explanation. I practiced 2-3 detailed UI project and 2-3 speed code flutter UI tutorial and I got the necessary idea. You…

On “Would it make a difference to master Dart before starting Flutter”

You don't have to master 100% of Dart to get started with Flutter, but don't make the mistake some others make where they jump into Flutter thinking they're going to make some huge app and end up with a mess that doesn't even compile because they don't know anything about Dart. I'd suggest you go through this 8 hour video course on Dart before you get started. Dart - From Novice to Expert
