On “Should I - as beginner in coding - start learning dart and try to do some flutter or instead learn Java and do Android development”

What are your goals? Say your goal is to create an android app. If you were starting today, I'd go with flutter because its generally easier. There are plenty of flutter courses (free and paid) to learn OOP (Object Oriented Programming) with dart. Self study doesn't have to follow a strict path.
