On “How do you guys feel about Blazor”

…*: to clarify I'm not saying Blazor Server doesn't scale, just that it scales horribly IF you have a global user base. This is because you would now need infrastructure to support ALL interactions on your front end, located near your users, as well as your back end. See this video from Nick Chapsas where he covers it (old video but still correct) link to this video…

On “Is SignalR still the best way to do real-time push notifications?”

As wllmsaccnt said, using Blazor server should depend on your what type of usage you're expecting with your app. Blazor Server needs SignalR (websocket) connection open all the time, for every UI interaction. So if your app is hosted in one region and your user is in another, there will be noticeable lag for example, when clicking a button. This is fine for regional usage or company intranets but if you're planning on having an app that scales to different countries or you're planning for high usage numbers then really consider if Server is the way to go.
