On “C has reignited my passion for coding”

that's awesome. i'm in the same boat as you. But i took a break from the modern approach book and started watching the Handmade Hero Series. Super interesting so far.

On “Any book recommendation for writing a 3D game engine from scratch in C?”

Handmade Hero\- video series not a book - is a good resource, He starts from the basics but you can move around the series and find what you want. Covers all sorts from software rendering, gpu rendering with OpenGL, sound, and explains things very well.

On “c tutor needed!”

We live in a really information rich time. If you wanted to really get better at C there are many resources to do so. BroCode's C course it 4 hours long and covers basic topics (if I were youI would code along with the examples if you want to learn anything). He does a good job making learning fun. If you want to get a bit more accurate/advanced I would recommend jacob sorber. Lastly if you want to really learn C and do some cool game programming the holy grail computer science resources is Handmade Hero by Casey Muratori. He is very opinated in a lot of his ideas but there really isn't anything better that exists in terms of density of novel ideas and content. There is also a guide…

On “Getting started with c”

If you’re on windows, handmade hero is great. link to this video If otherwise the cherno (link to this video is great - although it’s c++, you’ll get a lot of good low level knowledge from it.

On “Isometric software rendered game in C from scratch - Showcase 1”

It's an interesting idea but I don't have any plans of making the game open source for the current moment. Perhaps when the game has matured more and/or when the game is released can I release the code for the game. If you would like to learn more about software rendering and the approach that I used, I highly recommend the first 25 episodes of this.

On “Want to learn c”

If you are just starting out youtube is a great resource to learn. There might be some partially true or sometimes even incorrect notions on youtube but I would still lrecomment you start there. Don't start with a book because 9 times out of 10 you are not gonna derive almost any enjoyment from that... But maybe I'm wrong eventually when you grasp the basics and build some cool programs I would maybe think about going to reinforce good habits and notions going through books like "K&R" 2nd edition when you want to get more serious. BroCode's C course its about 4 hours and I would code along with the examples if you want to learn anything. He does a good job making learning fun. If you want…
