I also recommend adding a listener to the banner ad in order to know if it is showing or not, so you can show/hide the bottom padding according to the events received (show on MobileAdEvent.loaded and hide on MobileAdEvent.failedToLoad).
e.g.:

`print("BannerAd event is $event");`
`if (event == MobileAdEvent.loaded) {`
`// add bottom padding`
