Sure, although to be honest it was a lot of back and forth between YouTube videos (sockets link to this video and I'm sure I watched a lot more but I can't recall which ones, sorry) an man pages (https://linux.die.net/man/). I began really simple, just to give you an idea, the initial goal was to simply being able to print "Password incorrect" in the client, so first of all I learnt a bit of sockets (just some basics and the minimum to continue); then I went and read about the Lineage 2 protocol (here projects such as l2jserver were amazing and really saved me), meaning how they sent/read packets. In the process, I had to learn about RSA, Blowfish (both with openssl) and endianess. But that was it real…

well it's not really like an app in the traditional sense. you would be running it like any other compiled C program but yes you can send files as well. here is a link where you can get started on socket programming : [video (also watch part 2 and then once you grasp the basics you can google how to socket program a file sending program in C) I don't know how much time you are willing to dedicate to this project for your 1 month but if you're interested you can also look into TCP/IP networking which is the nitty gritty theory behind socket programming EDIT : for socket programming the general idea is one C program running on say computer A and another C program running on computer B.…
