On “Adding authentication to .net core web api”

Recently I've faced the same issue - Microsoft's documentation on the topic is hardly helpful. I was able to implement a solution generally similar to the idea you described using these Nick Chapsas' guides. While they might not be the most up-to-date or in-depth, they are not outdated either (worked fine with .NET 7), got the job done and did it for free.

On “Why is Identity Server required for hosted Blazor WASM authentication?”

Here are a few videos on getting started with creating your own simple, but secure way of doing JWT in .Net Core 3: [video [video I don't have much experience with Identity Server so rolling out my own was pretty straight forward after these videos. From that, I created my own and turned it into my own library so now I don't have to worry about it again. I currently use this method in a production app.
