An explanation of the differences between objects and data structures, their trade-offs, and how Scala handles them.

This is the second video about objects vs data structures in which we will learn when to use which and most importantly what happens if YOU chose wrong! This video is very much related to the videos about subtype polymorphism and inversion of control. Among other things we will learn how Java lacks support for dealing with data structures whereas Scala comes prepared. On “FP or OOP”

Here's another "rambling comment": I just watched your devinsideyou video "Objects VS Data Structures" and I loved it from about time = 00:15:00 on. The start was largely off-topic. link to this video Sadly, the story ends inconclusively, despite a small attempt to associate objects which are primarily or exclusively about methods with OOP and objects more about their data with data structure technique. A big problem with that attempt is that objects which have methods and state (perhaps an enum type of thing) is both action and data. It's still an excellent video showing the techniques, both of which I should mention use class and object language features. I really like the idea of Abstract/Algeb…
