An exploration of type-level programming in Scala by implementing a type-level set, comparing it to ZIO's ZLayer approach.
This week we will be continuing our exploration of type-level programming by implementing a type-level set. These sets were one of the main alternatives explored for composing ZIO's environment type prior to the development of ZLayer. We'll use this to see how type-level programming doesn't have to be scary. We'll also see some of the advantages and disadvantages of this approach and why we ended up where we are. Don't worry, we'll be back with more full-stack work soon as we take the boilerplate out of all the things! Why it's here
