On “Good OS and DBMS courses”

**Books** * Operating Systems: Three Easy Pieces * Designing Data Intensive Applications * Readings in Database Systems * Database Internals I'd suggest reading OSTEP, then reading DDIA. It gives you good breadth, then you can dive deep into any single area with the other two books. **Video Courses** * Operating Systems — CS 162 UCB. There are some old videos on Youtube, but it's pretty good. * If you want something simpler, check out Educative's course on operating systems. It's based on OSTEP, so the two will go well together. * Intro to Databases — CS 186 Berkeley * Advanced Database Systems — this, as it says, it an advanced course.
