Piotr Mińkowski demonstrates how to use Istio service mesh with Spring Boot microservices deployed on Kubernetes.
Hello Insiders! This is an online course about building microservices architecture on Kubernetes using the Spring Boot framework in Kotlin language. In this course, I'm showing tools, frameworks, and platforms that speed-up the development of JVM microservices on Kubernetes. We are going to implement sample microservices-based architectures using Kotlin language and then deploy and run them on different Kubernetes clusters. In the sixth part of that course, I'm demonstrating Istio framework features. I'm showing how to use Spring Boot Istio to build service mesh on Kubernetes for microservices written in Kotlin. The source code with these applications is available on GitHub: github.com/piomin/course-kubernetes-microservices.git. #istio #servicemesh #microservices #kubernetes #springboot #istiogateway Intro Chapter 1 - Kubernetes labels and feature toggles Chapter 2 - Enable Istio Chapter 3 - Traffic management with Istio and Spring Boot Chapter 4 - Istio Gateway Chapter 5 - Testing service mesh ConclusionWhat people say. Part of a tutorial series on deploying Kotlin microservices to Kubernetes.
