Michael Ossmann demystifies radio frequency circuit design, sharing practical recommendations and techniques for building RF PCBs.

This workshop on Simple RF Circuit Design was presented by Michael Ossmann at the 2015 Hackaday Superconference. It sold out almost immediately and for good reason. He has designed numerous popular tools like the the HackRF One and YARD Stick One. Michael's depth of knowledge and experience make him a leader in a field that is often called a dark art. There is no reason to fear RF design. Follow his recommendations and remove some of the mystery from the topic. On “RF Embedded Systems Design(HW+SW), Where to start ?”

I really like these videos: [video [video Also w2aew channel is great for beginner stuff: [video People drum up RF design to be this impossible task but it's really not any different than any other sect of EE imo. Perhaps the instruments for verifying design get more expensive but even then there is some pretty great hobbyist stuff around <2Ghz. The super black magic stuff is really only if you are getting into edging out the highest performance or really high frequency stuff. That will get expensive real quick. Generally speaking the higher the frequency the more you have to be careful. If you wanted to design a product at 2.4/5 Ghz depending on your footprint requirement I woul…

Depending on how deep you get there is a series on creating rf pcb boards. The guy in the video also has a series on his website with more videos. rf pcb design
