Are there any advantages APL offers over Haskell? I've been learning Haskell/Purescript lately but recently APL-curious. I don't know much about APL but after watching a few videos from youtube channel "code\_report" like this one where he compares Haskell and APL, it seems interesting. In fact, this guy says APL and Haskell are his two favorite languages, *and in that order.* The problem comes when in the above video at 25:27 he goes over the difference in feature sets between the two, it seems like Haskell is more feature-rich and there are just a few things that APL does slightly better, such as producing more terse source code. While lacking things like purity and ADTs, is there an…

APL or BQN with QuasiQuotes? I was just watching Functional vs Array Programming and thought it very useful being able to express intent in such a short succinct way. APL or the newer BQN seem perfect for a QuasiQuotes DSL. I found * an old mail thread about this https://www.mail-archive.com/haskell-cafe@haskell.org/msg107983.html * Simon Peyton Jones made a wiki with a prototype implementation https://wiki.haskell.org/APL

On “What are some languages with custom operators? Preferably strongly statically typed languages”

APL certainly have custom operators! 😵 Show-off here
