On “Voyager 1 is back online: NASA spacecraft returns data from all 4 instruments”

I appreciate your example of a USB NIC, as I am familiar with both USB A and USB C versions of those. I was specifically envisioning devices with female ports, but out of convenience and convention, most peripherals have a built-in/permanment male-terminated cord. Can you think of any examples with a female port? One of my favorite YouTube creators, DIY Perks, made a video about converting USB connectors to USB C which is very well done, as is their usual standard of quality. link to this video

Guessing I have the same beard trimmer as you, with a micro-USB port. It's great for travel but sucks to have to carry around an extra cable now. I'm thinking of trying to convert it to USB-C, similar to what this guy did: link to this video

> Mice, keyboards and printers have been wireless for ages. Doesn't necessarily mean they use USB-C though. Logitech's Unifying receivers are still (sadly) reliant upon USB-A, although someone modified one of them to use USB-C instead0 :-) 0: link to this video

On “Adding a USB port to the ThinkPad X1 Nano (the hard way)”

DIY Perks had a similar problem (USB-A mouse dongle; laptop with only USB-C) he decided to fiddle with the dongle and change it's port instead: link to this video
