On “Xilinx ISE 14.7 on windows 11?”

I also ran into this problem and made a thread about it https://www.reddit.com/r/FPGA/comments/q5avv0/psa\_xilinx\_ise\_suite\_planahead\_dont\_work\_on/ I don't know for any known method, but since the error is on the vc++ 2008 distributable and that one is not supported anymore, I don't think there's going to be any fix anytime soon. In Windows 10 however it does work, I always refer to this video for the installation steps (it includes messing with some pesky dlls in the program files) [video If you find out a way or an alternative software to flash a xilinx FPGA I'd like to know as well, but as of today, I think it's either using Windows 10 or switching to Altera FPGA

Installing ISE is problematic both in windows and linux. You usually have to to modify files. I suggest you follow some youtube tutorial like this one. It might not help but, some video will eventually work. Hope it helps

ISE 14.7 Windows 10 vs ISE 14.7 (2013) Hi, I am a noob in FPGA design (even though I had classes on it). For the first time I'm trying to do all the setup and design by myself (not set by a professor, since now I'm out of university). I've a Spartan 6 development kit, which implies that I need to use ISE 14.7 (please let me know if I can do it in Vivado lol). Using Xilinx archive I've downloaded ISE 14.7 Windows 10, installed the latest Oracle Virtual Box which is the 6.1.8 and proceeded to receive an infinite error message. How do I properly install ISE 14.7? Should I follow Larry's Gregg tutorial?
