Jaseem Abid presents an educational, step-by-step approach to building a compiler incrementally, based on a classic paper.
Papers We Love London presents: Jaseem Abid on "An Incremental Approach to Compiler Construction". This is a paper Jaseem has been toying around for a very long time. He spent quite a lot of his weekends hacking on an implementation (github.com/jaseemabid/inc). It's an educational approach to writing your first compiler and it should be quite valuable to a large number of everyday software engineers. Jaseem will be showing some code, present a heavily annotated paper and leave people with some ideas that they might be able to play around with. What people say. Recommended as a valuable resource for software engineers wanting to learn how to write their first compiler.
