…pose is not really comparable to k8s and that I did not manage HA databses, but I never had any problem with managing persistence when using docker compose. So, it's highly likely that I simply misunderstood that part, hence my question..
PS: the current resource I'm using is from a youtuber called Nana. Here is the URL with at the relevant part [video…

A noob looking for books/tutorials/videos on Kubernetes
Hey I am fairly new to kubernetes, I've grasped Docker, building containers, docker-compose and docker swarm but am looking into learning more about kubernetes.
I was wondering if you guys can suggest me a good book/tutorial/video.
Mainly I am interested in the kubernetes configuration as I am basically trying to replicate something I've done in docker-compose into k8s as a learning experience. I watched a video about k8s in general: this, but found it lacking in the configuration part of the explanation.
Any suggestions are welcome! I have an o'reilly subscription, so even better if it's there.
Thank you so much!

I think the browser does not open ( windows trigger issue maybe )
minikube service list code shows the created endpoint with the port

Issues with setting up ingress on minikube
Hi there.
Noob here just started learning k8s. Following a tutorial and reading documentation I tried setting up ingress nginx controller and routing it to open dashboard service in browser but with no luck.
Ingress address is mapped to domain name in hosts file but page refuses to load.
One thing to note is when listing pods in `kube-system` namespace I don't see the expected `nginx-ingress-controller.` What I do see is another namespace created called `ingress-nginx` which has `ingress-nginx-controller-5d88495688-5dpt8` running but I'm not sure that is that is the same thing or if it is an issue.
I tried using different yaml config files…

How to get similar functionality as of Minikube?
I have been following a tutorialon kubernetes and it asks me to install Minikube for a single node cluster setup. But I have my college laptop which has Windows 11 Home and it doesnt support Hyper-V support. So what should I do to get a similar experience as of minikube without minikube since I really am a beginner?

Connection between labels and selector
Hi there :)
There is this video [video around 1:08:10 where this gal explains a connection between labels and selectors and to be honest I don't get it. What is the connection between labels inside metadata->labels, spec->template->metadata->labels (deployment) and spec->selector (service) and spec->selector->matchLabels (deployment) ?
