What people say. Recommended as a helpful tutorial series for learning Avalonia UI and understanding XAML data binding.

On “How to get started with the goal of developing a cross platform app using .NET with a background in VBA?”

…he jump to avalonia that way. I only recommend this because xaml can be a bit tricky to get used to, its like a desktop html-esque (best way to describe it) markup. But theres some caveats with aspects of it like data binding that can be somewhat difficult to understand. This guy has a good series on youtube in building out an app in avalonia. [video Could follow along from the avalonia docs itself for a tutorial as well - https://docs.avaloniaui.net/docs/tutorials/music-store-app/…

On “developing business automations on macos”

XAML UI is a whole other thing, it's all about "binding" UI elements to Properties in a class. Check this out to get an idea: link to this video About the console.... It's just text...so it's an easy way to see the output of your code without having to worry about binding everything together just-right in XAML. For development on Mac you can use Visual studio for Mac or Jet brains Rider. Remember to have fun!

He also has a series on Avalonia UI. If you're starting with a greenfield project, I would go with Avalonia instead of WPF.
