An update on ClojureDart's growth, developer tooling, Dart ecosystem integration, and new features for building cross-platform apps.

Two years ago, ClojureDart was already shipping apps, but it still felt like a novelty—complete enough to be useful, incomplete enough to feel tentative. That’s no longer the case. This talk is a tour of what’s changed since then, grouped roughly into four areas. First, regular growth: fixes, missing functions and namespaces, the slow accumulation of completeness. Then, improvements to developer comfort: there’s now a REPL, multimethods work, stack traces have source maps, errors are better. Integration with the Dart ecosystem also moved forward: Dart 3 support, better test interop, and improved FFI—C, Java, even Rust. And finally, some new things: join-with, accelerated merge, boolean operations on maps, user-defined directives in cljd.flutter. If you looked at ClojureDart and thought “promising, but not quite,” this is your update. It’s still Clojure, running on Dart—but it’s gotten more complete, more expressive, and more comfortable to use. And yes, there will be livecoding. Speakers: Christophe Grand (aka cgrand) is a long-time Clojure enthusiast and community member. He’s worked on ClojureDart since the beginning, focusing on language design, interop, and compilation. Baptiste Dupuch is the originator of ClojureDart and leads its development, keeping an eye on the Dart ecosystem. He works on developer experience and bringing Clojure to Dart and Flutter, notably through the cljd.flutter stack. Together, they run a small consultancy called Tensegritics Recorded Nov 13, 2025 in Charlotte, NC at Clojure/Conj 2025.
