What people say. Recommended for its detailed breakdown of CPU pipelines, instruction decoding, and the actual differences between ARM and x86.

On “Actual Advantages of x86 Architecture?”

Casey Muratori did an hour and a half long stream with ThePrimeagen where he breaks down differences between x86 and ARM in Compiler Explorer, including debunking some common myths about them (like that ARM supposedly doesn't have a built in instruction to divide, etc.) link to this video

On “Why is graphics so fragmented?”

X86 isn't as limiting as people would have you believe, the only part of the CPU pipeline in which it is a slight limiting factor is decoding, simply due to the stupid way it does variable length encoding. Once decoded though, CPU manufacturers are more or less free to do whatever the hell they want, I recommend checking out this video from the primageans channel where a guest explains all this in detail: link to this video TLDR: differences between ARM & x64/86 have very little to do with the ISA itself
