I hope this video helps you take the first step. I post videos that help you learn to program and become a more confident software developer. I cover beginner-to-advanced systems topics ranging from network programming, threads, processes, operating systems, embedded systems and others. My goal is to help you get under-the-hood and better understand how computers work and how you can use them to become stronger students and more capable professional developers. About me: I'm a computer scientist, electrical engineer, researcher, and teacher. I specialize in embedded systems, mobile computing, sensor networks, and the Internet of Things. I teach systems and networking courses at Clemson University, where I also lead the PERSIST research lab. On “Where should I start with? I'm a complete beginner.”

I think readings on high level computer architecture topics would help. Also low-level C programming. Just some resources I came across in the past: [video ([video [video https://www.embeddedrelated.com/showarticle/1324.php https://embedded.fm/blog/2016/2/16/embedded-software-engineering-101-introduction Embedded Linux related: https://jaycarlson.net/embedded-linux/ https://www.thirtythreeforty.net/ Good luck!

On “Learning embedded”

I personally would search YT or just google "embedded systems development". There are a few good channels on YT such as Ben Eater, Jacob Sorber etc. This is one example: [video

On “advice on how to start learning for embedded SWE role”

Typically if they hire you they would train you, but assuming you will have to bring yourself up [video This guy is pretty good at getting you started, he has a bunch of channels that would help you get started in embedded systems. Get some arduinos or something off amazon and just yolo it.
