Ryan Trinkle introduces Reflex, a deterministic and efficient functional reactive programming system for Haskell and GHCJS.

Aᴘʀɪʟ 15, 2015 @ Bᴏsᴛᴏɴ Hᴀsᴋᴇʟʟ: meetup.com/Boston-Haskell/events/219653486/ Sʟɪᴅᴇs: obsidian.systems/reflex-nyhug/ "Ryan Trinkle presents his new library, Reflex, a deterministic, efficient, higher-order Functional Reactive Programming system. FRP is a radically new paradigm for writing interactive software: Instead of writing event loops or callbacks, programmers compose interactive applications using ordinary pure functional programming methods. The unique design of Reflex gives it the power and flexibility necessary to handle complex large-scale applications. Reflex can be compiled to binary using GHC or JavaScript using GHCJS."

On “A library for making presentations in Haskell with diagrams”

Perhaps you're thinking about the Reflex talk? It has interactive slides running in the browser, compiled using ghcjs, and Reflex is of course an FRP library. I don't remember any diagrams though.

On “Yesod + ? for reactive web programming.”

I'm not an expert on this, but I think this is what reflex is for. The author has given a couple of talks on the library, too: * link to this video * link to this video

On “which frontend library to use with ghcjs?”

Have you watched /u/ryantrinkle's presentation about `reflex` and `reflex-dom`? He goes into some detail about its level of optimization. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

On “[Video] Reflex-dom demo at Boston Haskell”

Ryan's talk on Reflex from April at Boston Haskell might also be somewhat relevant. =) link to this video
