Tim Corey explains how to set up a SQL database and configure Dapper for data access in a .NET Minimal API project.

Minimal APIs are now the default in .NET 6. I thought that we should take some time and look at what they are, how they work, and what they might look like in the real world. To that end, we are going to spend two videos covering this topic. This video will cover setting up a SQL database and configuring Dapper for easy data access. We will set up a simple but full CRUD data layer so that when we build our minimal API in part two, we can concentrate on the API itself and not the setup. The great thing is that this lesson will work with almost any user interface, not just a minimal API. What people say. Recommended as a straightforward, non-overengineered tutorial for getting started with Dapper and SQL in .NET.

There are a few tutorials on YouTube about getting started with Dapper. You could sample them and follow the one you like. link to this video link to this video link to this video link to this video link to this video link to this video

On “Suggestions on some Asp.Net core WebAPI template”

I like what Tim Corey sets up in these videos, no overengineering, to the point, logical structure. Minimal API Project Part 1 Part 2 (you can easily change out the Minimal APIs, Dapper, SQL, add auth etc, per your requirements).
