Afrotechmods explains how H-bridges work and demonstrates how to build a bidirectional motor speed controller using MOSFETs.

An explanation of H bridges (a type of motor control circuit). I also show you how to build a bidirectional motor speed controller. What people say. Recommended as a resource for understanding H-bridges and driving inductive loads with microcontrollers.

…hing sensitive in that small instant. So you typically need dedicated circuits to be a bridge between any inductive load and a microcontroller. A H bridge, with resilient MOSFETs, snubber networks to damp the inductive spikes, and proper driver circuitry to ensure clean turn on and off signalling are the most common thing.
