This video explains the inner workings of C# asynchronous programming, including the compiler-generated state machine and the Task class.

In this tutorial we conver the asynchronous programming style in C# we take a deep diving looking at the state machine that the async keyword spawns. How the await keyword creates checkpoints in the state machine. And how the Task class allows us to bridge our code to use the asynchronous programming model. Why it's here

What people say. Recommended as an excellent, clear explanation of how async/await and tasks work under the hood in .NET.

On “Confused on how Async works in dotnet”

async is not for CPU bound tasks. It's for when you're network or I/O bound. For CPU bound tasks you need extra threads. BTW this video explains async really well link to this video

On “Can someone please help to confirm how async/task/await works in C# (or any language really).”

Do yourself a favor, forget everything else and watch this video [video This will tie in your knowledge of async and tasks together nicely. Once that is done, go here -> [video Once you're done there, go here -> https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dotnet/csharp/asynchronous-programming/async-scenarios and then -> https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dotnet/csharp/asynchronous-programming/task-asynchronous-programming-model It helped me. Am sure it will help you too. Take it slow, don't get frustrated and learn with a relaxed mind. Once it clicks, you'd be better than 80 percent of the .NET devs out there instantly. All these are relatively easy resources my man. I can't explain async/…
