On “Web Dev Simplified - new React course worth it?”

In my opinion, in this day and age, no online course is worth $247. I do, however, like courses. I would recommend taking a look at The Net Ninja's free React course on YouTube. You may be put off by the date (it's 2 years old), but it's honestly not that out of date as he sticks to the core basics. His teaching style really resonates with me personally and I can't recommend him enough. I haven't personally watched the entire YouTube one that I linked, but I did purchase his paid React course on Udemy. On “Should I learn react deeply or is it not worth it? And which course do you recommend”

Learning... Depends on your or your client needs. But someone said: "Everything you learn will serve you one day." This guy explains everything step by step. Or you can search other lessons on yt. Good luck!

And then the reality set in... Anyways, what are you hoping to do with improving your front-end skills? I would caution spreading yourself too thin, atm. You just don't have enough bandwidth to get good at both. Right now as a junior, most of your bandwidth will be spent on your foundation of understanding. Imo, you can turn yourself into a strong developer-designer, with time. But *very* *rarely* will you be able to do both in practice (at a job). There just isn't enough time in the day. I was…
