Casey Muratori explains CPU architecture, instruction sets, and the differences between ARM and x86 to Theo Browne.

HUGE shout out to Casey for coming on and helping me finally understand CPUs. ARM vs x86 is not as simple as we might like to believe... CASEY'S STUFF x.com/cmuratori computerenhance.com/ Check out my Twitch, Twitter, Discord more at t3.gg S/O Ph4se0n3 for the awesome edit 🙏

On “Is learning zig the smart choice”

If you want to understand more how a computer actually works, you want to learn assembly, and some computer science. This Wikipedia article is a decent starting point. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Von_Neumann_architecture Casey muratori has some good videos on this topic. I think this one on theos channel is on point link to this video I would stick with learning C, not zig if you goal is understanding how a computer works.
