I'm a vim user and I was shocked and amazed at this emacs showcase video. I'm respecting emacs now at a whole new level.

On “Neovim 0.12.0”
dot repeat is the wrong comparison. A closer one would be macros, but even then a good multiple cursors implementation is often faster, more intuitive, and requires less cognitive overhead. One of the better examples of the usefulness of multiple cursors is from Emacs Rocks (link goes to 0:23): link to this video

On “CS Syd - Cursors, Part 1: Introduction with the List Cursor”
It’s a common feature of editors. See e.g. SublimeText or Emacs; you select many things at once (lines or symbols) and perform editing operations all at once. It’s like a more user friendly keyboard macro. Demo video: link to this video

On “Big things to expect from Emacs 25”
…Sublime that's allegedly "much quicker"? Can you give an example (including exactly which keys you press and exactly what it does in response)? Or can you at least show a video demonstrating this navigation? As for multiple cursors, both vim and emacs have had them for years.12345 1 - link 2 - link 3 - link 4 - link 5 - link to this video…

On “Julia as a CLI Calculator”
I have all commands I don't remember bound to leader keys. When in calc I have leader key m and then which-key pops up everything I have stored. Other than that, I use scratch in elisp mode and eval. Not as fluent as magnars, but this is a good example of what I mean (towards the end): link to this video

What is this minor mode that lists predictions in the minibuffer?
Hi, I try to extend my emacs nowadays, and I found a tempting feature relating to the minibuffer on this youtube movie: (see 3:22)

He typed some heading letters and got a list of predictions after it. How did he do this? I searched around for an hour, and I found candidates: "icicle" and "ido". I tried those, but that wasn't what I wanted.
