Matej Blagšič shows how to configure Visual Studio Code for C/C++ embedded development on STM32 using Make.

In this video I show you how to configure VSCode IDE for C/C++ embedded development using Make. This is second video in the series building projects. If you wish to use this IDE for development I also recommend to read other articles regarding these configurations: code.visualstudio.com/docs/cpp/c-cpp-properties-schema-refer… hbfsrobotics.com/blog/configuring-vs-code-arm-development-st… wiki.octanis.org/stm32/vscode shadetail.com/blog/using-visual-studio-code-for-arm-developm… shadetail.com/blog/using-visual-studio-code-for-arm-developm… shadetail.com/blog/using-visual-studio-code-for-arm-developm… Project used in the video: github.com/prtzl/Embedded_videos/tree/master/043_BUILDING-PT…

On “STM32CubeIDE alternatives and compatibility on Mac”

++ VScode This should help you to set this up. Also make sure to watch other videos about how to set up debugger etc

On “Feeling Lost in Embedded Systems: Should I Stick with ESP32 or Switch to STM32?”

You really dont need cube ide. Cube mx is enough and then build the project with make commands that can be run through any Ide. Here is a good video on it link to this video
