A demonstration of a bare-metal web browser running on a cheap RISC-V microcontroller using an ESP32 as a modem.

What happens when you take a microcontroller that costs less than your coffee and decide it should browse the web? Well use the ESP32 as a slave modem and use the CH32H417 microcontroller to browse the internet. No Linux. No RTOS. Just bare metal C and stubbornness with a few hundred KB of ram... In this video, I demonstrate t a working web browser on a RISC-V microcontroller on a display, connected to the real internet. Everything you see is running on a chip most people would use to blink an LED. This is part of my larger Rovari OS, a lightweight mobile device OS for resource constrained devices....

Why it's here

What people say. Recommended as an impressive demonstration of running a web browser on resource-constrained hardware without an OS.
