An introduction to installing and configuring Reflector to automatically sync Kubernetes secrets across namespaces.

If you’ve ever had to create the same secret in multiple namespaces in your Kubernetes cluster, you know how annoying it gets. In this video, we'll show you a clean way to solve that using a tool called Reflector. We’ll go through: - Installing Reflector in cluster - Creating a secret in the default namespace - Automatically syncing it to other namespaces with just an annotation - A quick demo using a Docker registry secret This setup saves time, especially if you’re managing secrets across different environments. It's simple and works well. We came across Reflector while working on internal projects at KubeNine, and it has proved super useful for us. #kubernetes #kubenine #devops #k8s #kubernetessecrets #reflector #cloudnative #kubectl

When cert-manager renews your TLS cert, Reflector automatically updates it in all namespaces. Same with registry secrets when you rotate credentials. Nothing fancy but it works and saves time. Figured others might find it useful too. [video…
