On “Crossplane: Unifying platform engineering based on Kubernetes API”

Couple of notes from someone who is also trying to figure out how to nicely integrate and automate infrastructure. Firstly, there is a broader idea that Kubernetes is actually quite universal control plane framework and that it is a useful integration environment for general applications and not just for low level compute resources in datacenter. This is primarily represented by the idea of KRM and Crossplane is one possible take on this. One of the Kubernetes co-founders Briant Grant speaks about leveraging Kubernetes as a universal control plane for an application - the video is actually sponsored by Crossplane but his talk is Crossplane-agnostic.
