Alexander Fu demonstrates how to sync PDF navigation, copy text, and take structured notes using org-pdftools and org-noter in Emacs.

Not being able to install and use pdf-tools or anything related to org-pdf in Doom. I am Emacs newbie. I wanted to do this - link to this video tl;dw - opens a pdf in pdf-tools, imports outline of pdf in a org file, navigation between org file and pdf is synced, anything copied in pdf is transferred to org file under respective heading/subheading, can take notes in org file for copied text. I am following Zaiste's videos to learn Doom, and I have tried installing packages using (package! ...) and configuring it in config.el. First I tried config from here - https://emacs.stackexchange.com/questions/19686/how-to-use-pdf-tools-pdf-view-mode-in-emacs but the package in unmaintained, so I used https://…

org-noter-create-skeleton not producing outlines on some pdf files Hello, I'm using org-noter in doom-emacs. I'm having troubles while generating outlines using org-noter-create-skeleton for some pdf files. I have atttached one such pdf here. pruett2000.pdf My config for org-noter is pretty basic. ``` (use-package! org-noter :after org :config (setq org-noter-notes-search-path '("~/org"))) ``` This is how I'm running org-noter: Open the pdf file in emacs and run org-noter, following this I run org-noter-create-skeleton and the org file remains unchanged. I followed the workflow from a youtube video by @fuxialexander here Has anyone experienced this? If so, found any fixes?
