Brian Voong demonstrates how to build a login page in Swift using iOS 9 constraint anchors and integrate it with Firebase.

Much awaited, anticipated, and requested video series on how to use Firebase is now here. Today, we'll briefly go through what the application does in terms of chat functionality. We will then dive right into Xcode and create a new project, and build our login page using iOS 9 constraint anchors. Stay tuned for the next episode where we'll look at how to install the Firebase SDK and save our users into the real time database. iOS Basic Training Course: letsbuildthatapp.com/basic-training Completed Source Code letsbuildthatapp.com/course/Firebase-Chat-Messenger Follow me on Twitter: twitter.com/buildthatapp

What people say. Recommended as an excellent, real-world tutorial series for building a messaging app with Firebase.

On “I released my first app: Jotify!”

When I first started I used some of the starting projects from Hacking with Swift because I loved their simplicity and really excellent explanations. I did several of these projects and then I decided to move on to a more "real world" type of programming where I worked on Brian Vloog's Firebase Chat App tutorial. I cannot recommend his channel enough; its a little intimidating at first because there are a bunch of things you won't understand (and I certainly didn't at the time), but its a great way to learn. After that, I just kind of jumped into my own development. I knew what I wanted to make, and I had a relatively good idea of how to get there. Regardless of what your learning process…

Old swift tutorial I'm relatively new to swift, and I'm following this walkthrough. I'm wondering why this code isn't working, and assuming its because swift has been updated and this is no longer how it works. Can anyone point me in the right direction to get a workaround? I'm also inclined to believe that if this is the case then I will run into further problems similar to this. Thanks in advance
