Tim Corey demonstrates how to implement the MVVM pattern in WPF applications using the Caliburn Micro framework.

WPF can be a tricky topic to get right. At first, it is fairly easy to get started. Then, you figure out that seemingly simple things aren't that simple. That's when you realize WPF was built on a different set of rules and ideas from WinForms. It works best with standards and systems in place. One popular standard is to use the MVVM pattern. In this video, I show you how to implement MVVM in WPF using a tool called Caliburn Micro. What people say. Recommended as an excellent, in-depth introduction to using the MVVM pattern with Caliburn Micro in WPF.

In-depth tutorials for Cocoa / Swift I'm pretty new to the Apple development environment. My background is in C# / .NET. I've worked with Xamarin before, and created .NET Core console apps that will run on MacOS, but i'd love to get more native with Apples tech and learn how Cocoa actually works. I learn most of what I know from video tutorials, and all the .NET tutorials I can find online are very in depth, not just showing how to get the job done, but how it all works and how to correctly use it to your advantage. Take these two for example: Xamarin Forms Tutorial WPF in C# with MVVM If anyone could recommend similar tutorials for Cocoa / Swift, that would be greatly appreciated…

On “Learning WPF - Compeletely lost..”

Here are a couple youtube videos that can get you a head start: * Intro to WPF: Learn the basics and best practices of WPF for C# * WPF Controls: Learn basic WPF controls in C# * WPF in C# with MVVM using Caliburn Micro Speaking of which, Caliburn.Micro is a pretty amazing MVVM framework that offers tons of features yet remains lightweight. Also check out MahApps and MahApps Material Design Toolkit which gives you a very modern looking UI with lots of nice controls.
