A comprehensive three-hour tutorial covering Kubernetes fundamentals, deployments, services, ingress, networking, and persistent volumes by building a full-stack application.

This one took me a while... Hopefully, you enjoy it! This is a 3 hours crash course that will cover kubernetes (k8s) in great detail. If you want to expand your Kubernetes knowledge, I highly suggest looking into these courses (not sponsored and these are not affiliate links): 1) udemy.com/course/kubernetes-microservices 2) udemy.com/course/docker-and-kubernetes-the-complete-guide 3) udemy.com/course/microservices-with-node-js-and-react/ Github repo: github.com/harblaith7/k8s-app Thumbnail designed by FreePik (www.freepik.com) Course Timeline - Intro - What is K8s & Why do we Want to Use it - Kubernetes Cluster - Kubernetes Installation - Kubectl - Pods - Services (NodePort & LoadBalancers) - Services (ClusterIP) - Networking & Namespaces - Deployments - Ingress - Persistent Volumes & Persistent Volume Claims - Storage Classes - Secrets & Environment Variables - Requests & Limits

What people say. Recommended as a practical, hands-on guide that demonstrates building a full-stack application with frontend, backend, and database on Kubernetes.

On “I have an interview to be an infrastructure automation engineer, what can I build in two days to gain experience”

Watch this video: link to this video Kubernetes crash course: He builds a full stack app FE, BE and DB (in practice you would use something like RDS) Talked about and demonstrated Pods Services Deployment Ingress Resources Pv & pvc Secrets Networking Then cover a gitops setup like argocd. And some terraform. Good luck.

On “Is there a Kubernetes guide that isn't terrible?”

Here's few videos: - link to this video - link to this video - link to this video - link to this video (all sorts of videos, for k8s/k3s orchestration) - link to this video (RBAC) - link to this video (effective rbac) Mind you some of the videos are old, and as such the YAML files need to be currated accordingly, to match the new version.

On “Kubernetes Course focusing on real world usage”

Persistent volumes you mean? I followed them for what I needed: - link to this video - link to this video First link really helped, because it has a nice client-server and DB setup, that really work, and uses a domain as an example, that is easier to get going. Second link is for the explanation, of how all really fits in together and on certificates, It's not exhaustive, but doable and worked for me.
