Today we're comparing .NET 5 performance on Windows versus Linux. We'll be building a small ASP.NET Core MVC web app and deploy this to Windows Server 2019 and Ubuntu Server 18.04. After deployment we're doing a load test with Locust. We're testing on a 1vcpu, 2 GB virtual machine on Microsoft Azure. The result may surprise you.
