What people say. Recommended as a simple, introductory project for learning Haskell.

Where are the simple `Lets build ___ with Haskell` posts? I've seen three such posts so far but they tackle pretty advanced topics: compilers and browser engines. - Build a Haskell compiler - Build a Scheme Compiler - Build a browser If you know of any posts along the lines of lets Build X with Haskell can you please post them. I would personally love to see some simple introductory projects like Todo lists to help bridge the gap between solving programming problems and writing applications. I think it would be a good idea for the material to be current enough to work as well. Here's what's been found so far. **Apps** - How to build a Reddit Slack Bot in Haskell - Rest API in Haskel…

I enjoyed watching this live coding session on YouTube in which the author creates a simple Sokoban game: link to this video . It's actually pretty relaxing to watch ;-)

Live coding videos can be helpful. Usually with live coding, you get to see someone start out with a rough version and then refine it over the course of the video while discussing why they are making changes. Here are a couple of such vids. - Haskell Live - Episode 1: The Chess Board - 1 - Sokoban - Haskell Live Coding

On “Hi r/haskell, I'm a Haskell newbie and I have a question.”

Hi, for me it was almost the other way around - I really enjoyed Euler but after all getting stuff done *is* mostly (and sadly) UI and stuff like graphics, database, web and so on - so I am looking for some non-ebony-tower stuff, and games are fun so ... After watching a very great video on Sokoban (link to this video I had my own go and really enjoyed it (even if the game is not really finishe - guess I got bored out by the highscore stuff but the basiscs are working ok): https://github.com/CarstenKoenig/SokoHaskell maybe you get some inspiration from there. Aside from this the web-stuff is always worth looking into but it's kindof the point where Haskell can get very nasty with advanced stuff yo…
